LASER THERAPY SUCCESS STORY

Patient journey with Laser therapy treatment in clinic:

Male, 40's.

Occupation, works on feet, long shift in a warehouse and wears steel toe caps. Activity levels are high, likes to play sports and go hiking/camping.

Patient attended the clinic with pain in left foot, which he described as an 8/10 on the pain scale. The patient had been suffering the pain for over a year and got progressively worse. They had the diagnosis of Plantar Fasciitis from the GP and were given stretches but did not resolve his pain. When he attended our clinic, he booked in for a Bio MSK/ Gait Analysis assessment which allowed an in depth diagnosis of Tibialis Posterior Tendon Dysfunction and Plantar Fasciitis to be concluded. Meaning a specific exercise program and insole prescription to be offered to the patient.

The patient received MLS Laser Therapy which was done every 7-14 days for 8 sessions. The patient found this incredibly beneficial and started to notice a reduction in pain within 4 sessions, the patient's pain score reduced to a 2/10. He was doing great with incorporating his exercise plan into his routine daily which included stretching and strengthening exercises. His insoles were worn within his work boots which helped protect the areas undergoing tissue stress on weight bearing. By the end of his 8 sessions of Laser therapy, the patient had no pain at all and was back to activities he had not been able to do since the pain started over a year prior. The patient worked really well with us at each appointment to give us feedback on his symptoms each week after his laser sessions. This helped us with his treatment plan to make sure we were seeing a progression at each planned stage. Thanks to Stephanie and Lucy for working together on this case. The patient has been delighted with the outcome and is more than happy for us to share the success for future laser patients.
